Wow! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
What a response we received for our first-ever Santa for Seniors program!
We asked for donations--and you delivered.
The gifts kept coming...and coming...and coming...

At one point, there were too many gifts to fit under the Christmas tree in our lobby, so Elizabeth's office was recruited into service as the Santa for Seniors gift collection annex.

By the donation deadline on December 15, we had collected more than 75 gifts which have been distributed to residents of long-term care facilities in and around Blair.
Elder Care Coordinator Janice Fitchhorn and Associate Attorney Dylan Dam made the rounds on December 17th, delivering gifts to three assisted living facilities and one nursing home. The deliveries continued the week before Christmas.

When it was all over, we had delivered gifts to Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Shepherd’s Village Assisted Living, Carter Place Assisted Living, Autumn Pointe Assisted Living
Crowell Memorial Home, and YMCA Senior BINGO. We had a blast in the process!

This year marks the first year that Truhlsen Elder Care Law of Nebraska has collected gifts for the Santa for Seniors program--and it won't be the last. We started this program to bring a little joy to people in long-term care facilities. Judging by this year's experience, Santa for Seniors has earned a place on our list of cherished holiday traditions.
Thank you for being part of the fun!
